Writer’s Week: Rebecca Johns
ACHS Welcomes Rebecca Johns to Writer’s Week.
Antioch Community High School graduate Rebecca Johns is returning to her Sequoit roots to share her experiences on Wednesday, April 1.
Her first novel, Icebergs, is a story about love, war and fate that spans WWII and was published by Bloomsbury. The second book she published was The Countess, it embraces the story of a loving wife and mother, doing whatever she can to secure her family and make sure her husband keeps all his power. It was published by Broadway Books. Her work has appeared in Ploughshares, the Mississippi Review, the Harvard Review, the Chicago Tribune and more. She graduated from Iowa Writers Workshop and the Missouri School of Journalism. She now teaches in English Department at DePaul University in Chicago.
Rebecca Johns will be performing on Wednesday April 1 during 4th, 7th, and 8th hours.
Her workshop for Horror, Science Fiction,and Supernatural Writing is closed for 5th hour.
