Four wrestlers went into the sectional tournament last weekend with a determination to qualify for state, and now the same desire and passion, they move on to state.

The finalists, Senior Nathan Dlugopolski, Senior Jacob Gross, Junior George Bessette, and Junior Patrick Schoenfelder. All of the wrestlers qualified in their weight class for the state tournament, 113, 126, 195, and 152 respectively.

Wrestling coach Wilbur Borrero, said, “I would love to see them all place. I would love to see them all in the finals, and I think they all have the capability of doing it. So if we get them all in the finals then it would be a first for Antioch. If we get a state champion that would be a first for Antioch. Because Antioch has never had a state champion. So no matter how you look at it it will be a first.
