If you have seen the movie “American Pie” then you know there are some weird events that happen at band camp. Even though some band students at Antioch Community High School do not have stories as weird as Michelle’s (Alyson Hannigan) from the 1999 film, they do have some other entertaining memories of their time at band camp.

“This one time at band camp, it was at least 90 degrees out, and we were told to wear shorts and light clothes because it was going to get so hot. And Grant Ellingsworth decided to wear black pants and a black shirt. About an hour in, Grant fainted,” said Annie Horner, junior.

“This one time at band camp, the seniors took everything out of the band room and put a bouncy house in it,” said Jonathan Untch, fine arts teacher and band director.

“This one time at band camp, this one freshman showed up really late and came out on the field in the top half of his uniform, but was wearing white socks and no shoes,” said Nathan Almaria, senior.

“This one time at band camp, it was raining so everyone was falling on the field,” said Sean Bearing, sophomore.

“This one time at band camp, Grant ran across all of the music stands,” said Booker Grass, sophomore.
