As the weather starts to drop, there is one noticeable trend that stands out the most for girls: Ugg boots and yoga pants. What’s the craze about them?

First off, they’re extremely comfortable and easy to match with. Every teenage girl knows that for sure.

Antioch Community High School sophomore Carlie Gaylord said, “They’re comfortable  and they look cute. You can wear basically anything with them.”

When did this phase of yoga pants take over?

“Probably when yoga pants from Pink came out. I think it was around 2011,” said Gaylord.

Since Pink released their brand of them, it was noticed that other stores started to make their own. Different styles soon started to appear: cropped, short, multiple colors and ridiculous patterns.

Other stores also are known for making boots very similar to Ugg boots, but for an extremely lower price.

The reason for the obsession is clear: Uggs and yoga pants are cute, comfortable and affordable.
