Volleyball Set Up Successful Season
Lady Sequoits fall short of winning regional final.
The girls volleyball team performed day in and day out this year, finishing 21-13-1. In the end, the girls came up just short, losing in the regional championship.
Senior Emily Quinnett played her last game in the regional championship.
“It definitely is sad to think this was my last year of playing competitive volleyball,” she said. “I will miss the experiences and playing with my team.”
Quinnett also said that playing club or intramural volleyball in college won’t compare to playing high school volleyball.
“This year was my favorite season out of all of them,” Quinnett said. “I wouldn’t have wanted to play with any other people this year.”
“It felt good to come close to winning a regional and wished we did win,” junior Kayla Spera said. “The senior leadership had helped her strive to be the best she could this year. I will adjust as an individual by pushing myself to my fullest potential. We will watch more film and analyze other teams so we know what to look for on the court.”
