SPOILER ALERT: Venom Bounces Back After Bad Reviews
A review of the brand new Marvel film: Venom.
On Thursday, October 4th, the film “Venom” hit the box offices and received poor reviews from critics. Many moviegoers came into the theatre with a negative mindset and assumed that the movie was going to be bad, instead of forming their own opinion and going into it unbiased.
That negative opinion would quickly be changed with an action packed, and somewhat comical film starring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, the main character and the host of the Venom symbiote. The movie starts out with symbiotes, alien lifeforms, escaping. The main symbiote Venom attaches to Eddie Brock and the evil symbiote Riot attaches to the antagonist Carlton Drake. During the climax of the film, Venom and Riot fight on a spaceship trying to retrieve more symbiotes. The film ends with Venom and Eddie agreeing to living together peacefully, and the next villain Carnage, who according to Den of Geek, is the next villain who is red, is introduced.
The movie was made well and was a high quality film in my opinion. The production of the film is amazing and the storyline leaves you on the edge of your seat and wanting more at the end of the film. I believe the reviews given to “Venom” by critics are unfair and the movie is much better than it is given credit for. According to “Screen Rant”, they also say that the reviews were unfair. They think that critics were harsh because the series is trying to make its own name for itself, without Spider Man, and I agree.
“The movie was really good,” senior William Resurreccion said. “It had good acting and action scenes.”
The acting throughout the film is very good and the action packed movie is everything most people hoped the movie would be. The acting allows viewers to be fully immersed in the film and experience it to the best of their ability. I would give this a solid nine out of 10, it was a high quality film with a great plot and acting.
