The Antioch Sequoit Varsity baseball team fell to the Grant Bulldogs 4-2 in their game Thursday, April 18. The boys fought through all nine innings, but couldn’t seem to put hits together.
Kyle Bukowy led the team in hits going 1-3 at the plate. The boys had only one hit the whole game with other base runners getting on by error or a walk.
“Against Grant, we just couldn’t string guys together,” junior catcher Logan Delgado said.
Senior Austin Andrews took the loss for Antioch. He battled through four innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out four.
“We need to focus on our bats more because we only got one hit that game,” Andrews said. “When we only have one hit a game you’re not going to win many games.”
