Due to the upcoming colder months, there are many preparations for the change in weather. This could mean changing how one dresses and most importantly, the type of shoes one would wear. In some areas, the fall and winter seasons call for multiple layers of thermal clothing and closed-toe shoes. For this fall season, there are many varieties of shoes people have been seen wearing. This can include Uggs, Birkenstocks, Adidas and many more. These kinds of shoes have been portrayed by the media in beneficial ways and have vastly increased in popularity. People enjoy wearing these shoes because of how they look, their comfort and their ability to draw an outfit together. Samantha Kanya is an English teacher at Antioch Community High School and wears trending shoes frequently.
“My Birkenstocks are the most comfortable pair of fall shoes,” Kanya said. “I would wear them every day if I could.”
Finding the most comfortable pair of shoes is one of the most important aspects when in search of new footwear. Birkenstocks are specifically designed to mold to your feet, which maximizes the comfort of the shoe. These shoes are owned by many students at ACHS and have many positive reviews. Birkenstocks can come in many forms which makes them a great shoe brand if a shopper wants diversity, They have various types of open-toed shoes and even closed toe clogs.
In the past couple of months, trending sneakers have been on all social media platforms for the upcoming fall and winter seasons. Adidas and New Balances have been big hits recently and are one of the top trending sneakers. These specific shoes have many different usages and can be used for styling outfits. ACHS Senior Grace Kue enjoys being on top of shoe trends. Kue owns various types of these trending shoes.
“The Adidas Campus’ are really comfy,” Kue said. “I love my Samabas and I wear them everyday.”
Although these shoes have been released for plenty of years now, the Adidas Campus shoes has continued to gain popularity. The influence of social media is a great way to market shoes and capture customers to continue to buy their products. These shoes are becoming popular for the correct reasons. They are stylish, durable and provide comfort.
However, even though trending shoes have a lot of benefits, some are not suitable for extreme weather conditions. They may get uncomfortable after long periods of time or even become worn out.
“Sometimes for walking long distances, the Campus’ can get really uncomfortable and I know during the winter they’re not going to give you that warmth you need,” Kue said.
All trending shoes have a great foundation of positives along with some negatives. Most are perfect to wear daily, but one needs to be sure they are wearing the perfect shoe for specific occasions. All current trending shoes are a great way to enhance a comfortable fall or winter outfit and are a must-have staple in your wardrobe.
