Junior Allison Morris shared her opinion on the progression of the English language as well as the modern language of today.

“I believe that it has lost a lot of its meaning, both verbally and electronically,” Morris said. “Everyday words have become slang terms. People do not even speak proper English anymore.”

She also believes that texting affects this decline in diction.

“Words that would take one second to type are being abbreviated,” Morris said. “This is not an advancement at all, and through technology, a lot of communication is shortened, lost, or misinterpreted to the point where it loses its meaning.”

Regardless of where these artistic words originate, it is a wonderful idea to spice up any daily script with a new set of vocabulary. Now use these selcouth selections on a resume or impress others with a renewed vocabulary.
