It is getting closer and closer to the day where every couple goes out to spend time with each other. Thats right, it’s almost Valentines Day. But the real question is, what places are fun and inexpensive that you could take your date to?
Starting on Saturday and lasting for three days, Millennium Park will be having free zip lining. The zip line is 200 feet tall, so for those who want to fly across the park and experience the city sky line, it is a great, adventurous and inexpensive idea! Hot chocolate will be offered too.
Senior at Antioch Community High School, Kiki Wennstrom said, “My boyfriend and I are very excited to go down to the city to try this zip line out! Neither of us have been zip lining before so it will be a cool date.”
The Shedd Aquarium in Chicago is the beloved home to many different types of animals and aquatic life. Everyday there are always different types of aquatic shows that people are able to watch. Along with the shows, there are many exhibits that people can explore! Tickets per person are $37.95, but this does not include the price for each aquatic show. This is a somewhat expensive date, but is definitely a site to see.
Junior at Antioch Community High School, Mara Solano said, “I love going to the Shedd Aquarium because it has such a variety of aquatic life and the aquatic shows are also so much fun to watch. My favorite one is the dolphin show.”
Also, Rink Side in Gurnee Mills is always a good time. At Rink Side. there is an arcade, ice skating rink and a lazer tag area. On the weekends, it costs $22.99 to Skate-n-Play.
Senior at Antioch Community High School, Jaylene Sparks said, “I love going to Rink Side with my boyfriend because there are many things for us to do. Our favorite thing to do is play air hockey together in the arcade!”
Whether it is finding your adventurous side and going zip lining, sight seeing at the Shedd Aquarium, or kicking it old school and going to Rink Side, it will be a fun experience, as long as you are spending it with your significant other.
