Beyonce's New Album Alludes to Husband's Infedelity

Beyonce has released her sixth album, called “Lemonade”, which has been rumored to have lyrics exposing Jay Z’s infidelity. In the beginning songs of her album, many songs include break-up sounding lyrics, which people have suspected are about her husband.

Towards the end of the album, she switches gears to mentioning her career and how it has affected her relationships. In her album opener “Pray You Catch Me” , the popstar sings the line: “You can taste the dishonesty / it’s all over your breath as you pass it off so cavalier.” Her audience has made the assumption that this was about Jay Z possibly cheating on her.

She ends the song with the line “What are you doing, my love?” Further along her album, in the song “Sorry”, she said, “Looking at my watch he should’ve been home / Today I regret the night I put that ring on”, alluding to Jay Z’s supposed dishonesty throughout their relationship.

The album closes off with “All Night” with the powerful line “Give you some time to prove I can trust you again.” This leaves the listener to think Beyonce is willing to be forgiving and repair her relationship.
