The Return of Frustrated Followers
The return of The Walking Dead has viewers on edge, wondering who Negan killed.
The Walking Dead ended the season six finale with an extremely tense scene that has followers anxious for season seven. The scene involved antagonist, Negan, beating someone over the head with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. It generated loads of attention, and everyone wants to know who Negan killed. Michael Rooker, who played the character Merle Dixon in the series, when asked who he thought was killed, said, “I think they all deserve a good beating!”
According to the original comics, Glenn, one of the most popular main characters, is killed by Negan. However, the show may not follow the comic. It hasn’t been confirmed that the details will be the same in the comic as the series. There have been multiple instances where the television series has differed from the comics, so it could be any character.
Fans of the show have shared their opinions and responses to the season finale. There have been many different theories and guesses, but the dramatic ending has left most viewers frustrated and distraught. The actors had the same reaction to the finale and had a very hard time filming it.
In an interview from Cinamablend with Andrew Lincoln, who plays main character Rick Grimes in the series, says, “I felt sick to my stomach when I read the script. It was the first day in the whole six years of working on The Walking Dead that I was late for work because I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn’t get back to sleep. I was so angry and frustrated and I felt sick. And that was just after reading it.”
Tune in to AMC on October 23rd to find out for yourself.
