Traveling during the holidays can be pretty intense with flight delays and bad weather. Even being stuck on a plane or in a car for several hours can make one get impatient. Whether taking a plane or traveling by car having a simple packing list and specific essentials will help ease the stress. Here are some essentials to keep in mind when traveling for long periods of time.
1. Snacks: It might seem a bit crazy to pack snacks when you will be eating very soon at the holiday dinner, but with long transportation hours its always good to have snacks in case there is nowhere to stop along the way for a good amount of time.
2. Headphones/Phone: Everyone will have one of these two items on the top of their list. Being stuck in an airport for several hours or in a car will start to become boring. Having some entertainment will keep your mind occupied and become less annoyed due to the fact you are bored stuck somewhere with little to do.
3. Warm Clothing: It’s that time of the year where it is starting to become colder, it’s a good idea to keep some extra warm clothing in case of any surprise snow comes along.
4. Extra Money: It is always a good idea to have some extra cash in case you come across any emergencies when traveling or already being at your holiday break destination, especially with those unressitable holiday deals.
5. Camera Pictures: Photos are always being taken when on vacation and with family having an extra camera other than the one on a phone will take better pictures and capturing moments.
