Talking Trends: Vine 2
The creator of the famous app “Vine” has brought some exciting news.
More stories from Alex Johnson
This week on “Talking Trends” it is time to delve into the interesting world of social media. As many people know, in January of 2017 the short video making app “Vine” was officially taken down from the App Store. For many celebrities this was a huge way to get discovered and it brought a few tears when the founder Dom Hofmann made the decision to take it down.
However, this is not a sad story because Hoffman has decided to, in essence, recreate an app similar to vine with a revamped interface. He is hoping that it will be as popular, if not more popular, than the original application.
This app was a way for me to laugh and I was also incredibly sad when they decided to get rid of it. Seeing that they are working on “Vine 2” has excited me for what is to come in the future.
Sophomore Zoe Johnson is a little worried that it will be the same as the original and there is a chance that people might not use it because of that fact.
“I feel like it is going to be exactly the same as Vine,” Johnson said.
No one can really be 100 percent sure what is to come with this new app, but we are definitely hoping for something exciting.
