Stiletto Heels? More Like Stiletto Nails
In the plethora of different nail styles, the stiletto nails spring ahead.
The old school, pointy nail trend is back at it again in 2016. Women are choosing to shape their nails as knives, instead of squares or ovals. This makes me very uncomfortable, because at any moment a girl can whip out their small weapons and do some serious damage.
Pointy nails are becoming more popular, but they fail the functional test. I mean, how can girls complete daily tasks with these nails? How can they text? We all know that every girl is glued to their phone the whole day, so it must be difficult to maneuver the phone with those talons. Also, r.i.p. ever wearing contact lenses again, if you are a fan of these stiletto nails.
On a serious note though, if she plays sports with these nails, she gets mad respect. I would assume that would be almost impossible to participate in sports and not break them. So, go girls, for being ambitious and risky. Living life on the edge (of the nail). I can not imagine how many typos the female species would have if we all had pointed nails, that would be absolutely ridiculous.
There are opposing sides to this trend, as there is for everything, but I feel like there are extremes for this one. You either love them or hate them, no in between. Though impractical for almost everything, all the hottest celebrities are rocking these sharp, fierce nails. What do we do? Choose to receive attention for the stiletto nails, or actually be able to accomplish regular tasks without a problem?
