The girls varsity soccer team has their eyes on the prize, a regional championship. The team has numerous returning underclassmen, and is led by a strong senior class. This youthful soccer team has three seniors and three juniors. With lots of incoming freshman talent, they just might be what the Sequoits need.

Senior Courtney Coleman said, “There are a lot of incoming freshman this year that could definitely play a role on varsity for us. We have potential to be very good, so this season will be very interesting and exciting.”

The returning girls know what must be done in order to finish the year with some hardware. Sophomore goalie Monica Wilhelm said, “I think as a whole we work really well together. Chemistry on and off the field is a major factor in success and I think it will work for us.”

Although the season has just begun, the girls look to be successful and win a regional. Good luck to them this season.
