During her freshman year season, sophomore Miranda Chamberlin put up impressive numbers on the JV girls basketball team. Chamberlin loves to paint and play softball in the off season, which she says helps to relieve the stress of school. The now sophomore, 5’8 guard, got involved in basketball because her parents said it was a good way to get rid of all the energy she had. This caused her to fall in love with the game.

“I get to go after school everyday and play the game that I love with all of my friends,” Chamberlin said.

Chamberlin is injured right now with her right knee and wrist, these injuries have been a reoccurring problem for her. She is looking to overcome these injuries and make her way onto to the varsity team for the upcoming season. For now she is focused on being a good teammate and she wants to work to recover from her injuries in order to play the game that she loves.

“I put all my effort into teamwork and working through the hard times,” Chamberlin said.
