Sequoits Pounce on the Panthers
The boys came ended the game with a victory against Round Lake Friday, February 3.
The boys Varsity basketball team came out on top Friday night against the Round Lake Panthers with a score of 61-48. With this victory, the boys have gained more confidence about their abilities for the upcoming games. Junior Ryan Glassman is very proud of how they all played.
“This was one of our strongest games of the year,” Glassman said. “As a team, we did well locking down one of their best players who tends to get hot during crunch time. We had a strong first half followed by an intense second half.”
Junior Alex Larson could not agree more with Glassman.
“We played very well as a team,” Larson said. “We communicated with each other and executed our plays.”
While this was one of their best games of the season, Varsity manager, senior Mariel Almaria knows that there are still some things the boys can work on in order to be ready for future competition.
“They should try and rebound more in future games,” Almaria said. “But, their passes are good and they are finding each other on the court.”
Come cheer on the boys when they take on the North Chicago Warhawks at home on Friday, February 10 at 7:00pm.
