The girls volleyball team beat Woodstock North in their first regional game two sets to one.
On Tuesday, October 24 the girls volleyball team played three hard sets against Woodstock North and ended up on top. The girls started out slow in the first set, losing 25-11, but then came out stronger than ever and won the second, 25-12 and the third set, 25-19.
“We had an all around team win in the third match, it was very intense but we came together and won,” senior Skylar Loos said.
Senior Katherine Barr had multiple blocks and kills during the game along with aces by senior Brianna Vettese and sophomore Cenie Frieson, all of which helped the team out tremendously. Vettese, Loos and junior Emmy Faber assisted the team by maintaining a solid defense on serve receive.
The girls are excited for their next game and are trying to figure what to work on at practice that will them be the most prepared for the upcoming game. Having better communication skills as a whole team is something that has improved for the girls as the season has gone on. Communication is a key factor in these final games.
