Spring is finally here, and you know what that means – time to ditch those heavy winter coats and bring out the fresh, chic and spring inspired outfits. With the recent wave of warmer weather, you need to update your wardrobe in order to have insta-worthy outfits all spring long. The motto we are living by this spring is sequins, sandals and staples.
When you think of spring you think of pastel colors and light patterns. In order to reintroduce the color white into your wardrobe after Memorial Day, matching sets and monochromatic outfits are all the talk this spring. Before the days get too hot, this Free People matching sweater set is a spring wardrobe staple. Think of a white sweater with matching mini shorts. This is a simple outfit that can be easily accessorized with sequins or cute sandals or even better, a combination of sequins and sandals. These Steve Madden sandals are a perfect way to spice up a simple spring outfit.
On the topic of sequins, these are quintessential pieces to this spring collection. Sequins bring a fun vibe to any outfit and revive your closet from the dreary winter. Sequins are making a comeback from the infamous 2018 reversible sequin craze. Some of my favorite sequin clothes include this sequin cami from Peppermayo, this maxi skirt from Peppermayo and the sequin sandals that were previously mentioned. While sequins can be distracting, there are chic ways to incorporate them in everyday outfits Specifically for spring, pastel colors and sequins are a perfect combination.

Moving on to accessories, spring is the season to dust off all your cute bags for summer and start incorporating them into your wardrobe now. In my opinion, the bag of the spring is the Longchamp bag. It is semi-affordable, chic, practical and comes in a variety of colors. It can be used as a beach bag, work bag or just as a simple accessory. They also have many sizes depending on your occasion for the bag and your budget. Another bag that I think is a spring staple are any type of straw bags. They bring texture and youth to any outfit. Some of my favorites are this bag from J.Crew and this one by Milaner Italia.
Continuing on the idea of accessories, but moving on to shoes, I am predicting that wedged sandals (specifically the ones with the straw bottom) will be all the rage this spring. There are so many cute ways you can wear them. There are simple ones from Sam Edelman or fun (sequin) ones from Steve Madden that were previously mentioned. They are very chic and would match perfectly with a simple straw bag to tie in the two textures.

Finally, I know you all have been waiting for what jewelry we are wearing for this spring. I am here to tell you that the bigger the better. The more glitz and gleam you add is the way to go this spring. However, it still needs to be classy and match our coastal chic vibe for this spring. For example, this loud star necklace from a shop called Bracha. This store specifically perfectly encapsulates the jewelry vibe for this spring. It is loud and big but in the most respectful way, pairing seamlessly with the simple staple pieces you will be wearing all spring long. Jewelry is the perfect way to spice up a monochromatic or simple outfit.
All in all, this spring is all about sequins, sandals and staples. Plus, reintroducing white into your wardrobe and pairing it with the perfect accessories. Hopefully, this inspired you to start building your spring wardrobe and motivated you to add fun accessories into your day to day outfits.
