Sequoit Pride Plans for the Centennial Gala
Annual auction and dinner will honor ACHS’s 100th year celebration.
For Antioch Community High School’s 100th year anniversary, Sequoit Pride is hosting their annual auction and dinner once again at the Lehmann Mansion in Lake Villa on Friday, March 6, at 6 p.m. The past two years the auction brought in thousands of dollars to support ACHS programs, students and school activities.
This year Sequoit Pride’s money funded Math Team competitions, the Survival Day field trip, and the Environmental Club’s Earth Day Fair. To help fund these programs, students and activities the silent auction will have over 150 baskets that come from donations throughout the community. Some of these baskets include Billy Joel concert tickets, a world language basket filled with European foods and drinks, an NBC studio tour, football tickets and much more.
Other than the silent auction Sequoit Pride President Lesia Semitka said guests can expect a fun and extravagant night.
“To start off with, guests will arrive to our jazz band playing for them as they enter the mansion and check in. [The guests will then listen to] our very own Mr. Hickey and Mr. Untch providing entertainment in the tent for the guests. Mr. Hickey will be singing and Mr. Untch will be providing piano playing throughout the evening,” said Semitka. “Alumni, community members, staff and parents will be attending. There will be a mystery box, 50/50 raffle and other games for the evening as well as other surprises. Our community really came together with some great donations.”
Be sure to get a ticket for the delicious dinner and competitive auction while you still can because there is a limited number. Only 200 dinner tickets and 75 auction-only tickets are available. Tickets can buy tickets here and learn more about the event here.
Lesia Semitka would like to thank the following Sequoit Pride members for their time and efforts in making the Centennial Gala so successful: Kathy Ruano, Sherry Madigan, Stephanie Winkler-Raymond, Josella Boudreau, Erin Glassman, Joyce Kiyohara, Sherry Galante, Kim Torcaso, Bruce Faber, Melissa Mors, Joann Gottermeyer, Sherry Mentone, Jim Connelly, Kim Hare, Christina Bohn and Bart Winkler.
