The Antioch Community High School varsity dance team began their 2014-2015 competition season at Fremd High School on Saturday, Nov. 22. In their first competition of the season, they competed against 21 other schools, including Grant, Grayslake North, and Lakes Community High School.

Each team dressed in unique and creative outfits to add an extra flare to their routine in order to put on a superb performance. ACHS performed a dance routine that expressed elegance and grace with every kick and spin.

The Sequoits placed eighth overall with a very strong performance. It was a great performance and the team is excited to build off of it.

“After performing together at our first competition, myself and and the entire team are extremely excited to see how much we will improve throughout the rest of the season. WE have worked very hard, bonded strongly as a team, and are proud of how well we performed. I could not be more proud to be a part of such an amazing team,” said junior captain Brittany Bluthardt.

Come support the Sequoits on Dec. 7 at Vernon Hills.
