Rolling Her Way To Victory
Samantha Knab is a girls bowling conference champion.
After being on the varsity bowling all four years and striving to do her best during every match, senior Samantha Knab’s hard work has paid off and she finally became a conference champion on January 26. After a long battle, Knab pulled through and won by 20 pins, ending with an outstanding average of 230 for the day.
“I’m very happy that I won conference since I’ve had a lot of second and third place finishes this year,” Knab said. “It gives me a lot of confidence going into regionals knowing that if I just pick up my spares, hit my mark, and stay positive, good things will happen.”
Knab spends everyday at practice on the little things that will help her make it to her goal of state. Knab’s bowling teammates were just as ecstatic to see her accomplishment.
“Seeing Sam win conference was amazing,” sophomore Allison Kane said. “We were all so happy to see one of our favorite seniors win. Sam is a great bowler who deserves it.”
Knab’s win is one of her best accomplishments in her high school career and will be remembered by the team for a long time. Knab will be missed deeply by her teammates when she graduates.
