Rockstar Games to Release Grand Theft Auto 5

grand-theft-auto-v-19After five long years of waiting, Rockstar Games will be releasing a new Grand Theft Auto video game on Sept. 17. Grand Theft Auto (also known as GTA) is an open world, action-adventure video game available on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. GTA V will be the fifteenth Grand Theft Auto game made. The game is played in third person and the objective for players is to complete missions throughout the story, but they can also be completed at the player’s leisure.

In the previous GTA games, users played as just one person. In GTA V,  users can play as three different player-controlled protagonists: Michael, Trevor and Franklin. These criminals’ stories interconnect as missions are completed. Each character has their own individual strengths and users can switch between characters at will to help complete a mission more effectively.

Because Grand Theft Auto V is an open world game, users can freely roam around the map when not in a mission. There are many activities to do while not in a mission, such as racing, base jumping, scuba diving, going on dates, bowling, hanging out with friends and much more. It seems to be that everything a player wished they could do in the game, is now possible in GTA V. For example, now players can fly airplanes, go underwater, customize a character’s appearance and purchase homes and businesses.

For avid GTA fans, with the new Playstation releasing on November 15, and Xbox coming out sometime this fall, you can bring in your copy of GTA V along with 10 dollars into GameStop and they will upgrade it to the “PS4” or “Xbox One”  version/disk.
