Riverdale Rundown
WARNING SPOILERS: Riverdale viewers come back for season two.
Before the popular show became a hit on the web, the famous name Archie Andrews was found in newspapers. Published by Archie Comics in 1941, the American teenager made his debut in Pep Comics and was loved by all. The famous comic ended after 72 years of production in May 2014, but the producers continued the legacy by creating short films and a radio show.
Due to the popularity of the comic strips and secondary shows, The CW created a television show to bring back the Archie Comic series. The 13 episode first season premiered on January 26, 2017, before concluding in May. Viewers were left with a major cliffhanger as the restaurant Pop’s became a crime scene due to the shooting of Archie’s father, along with the beloved character Jughead Jones transforming into a Southside Serpent.
Sophomore Teryn Jones has been following the series and is interested to see the different plots the producers have to share.
“I am excited to see what kind of trouble the Lodge family stirs up now that Hiram is back,” Jones said. “I also love seeing the different personalities mix and collide, for better or worse.”
In early March, The CW renewed the series for a second season, which premiered on October 11. The teaser trailer leads the 22 episode season into full mayhem. Riverdale High is faced with difficulty, and Archie is on a mission to find his dad’s gunman. Tune in to watch Riverdale on The CW every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
