REVIEW: Big Hero 6

Don’t judge a movie by its cover.

Disney movies are definitely not the first thing that comes to a high schooler’s mind when it comes to picking out a movie to watch on a Friday night. Although Disney movies have been around for many decades, they are usually associated with small children. We are often told, “don’t judge a book by its cover.” It is an expression that is used to describe our liking (or disliking) of a film, but when it comes to Disney films, especially this one, this should be taken into consideration.

“Big Hero 6” is a roller-coaster-kind-of movie that is sure to mess with all emotions. It has a heart-throbbing plot that many people can relate to. The main character, Hiro Hamada, is on search for his missing microbots when he meets face-to-face with danger. A special bond develops between plus-sized inflatable robot, Baymax, and prodigy Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes.

Overall, “Big Hero 6” is a very good movie for people of all ages. This movie does not fail to entertain the whole family. It won the Academy Award for Best Animated Film and it got a rating of 8 out of 10 stars by movie critics. I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone looking for a fun movie.
