Reaching for the stars at Shine Bright Dance Studio
A dance studio has been opened in Antioch, Illinois and dedicated to the late Nicole Parfitt by her mother Robin Parfitt to commemorate her love for dance.
Shine Bright Dance Studio is located on Tiffany Road and welcomes all dancers. The studio teaches many different styles of dance for different age groups. The establishment was opened in honor of the owner’s daughter, Nicole Parfitt, who passed away at age 14. The studio opened after N. Parfitt’s death in November 2012.
The studio welcomes new and experienced dancers; there are classes at varying levels of difficulty in all of the taught genres of dance. Some instructors at Shine Bright are professionals and previously worked at larger studios.
Many former students that danced at the studio have brought their passion for dance with them into their adult lives.
“We have had many kids from the studio that join college dance teams, and even a few join professional dance companies,” former Sequoit and Shine Bright dancer Brad Parfitt said.
Shine Bright Dance Studio usually holds eight classes a night Monday through Thursday, with Saturday morning classes open for younger students. The studio was built on love and that love continues to grow as dancers leap out of the studio and into the big world.
