Prince Found Dead in Minnesota
Singer meets untimely end, health complications in days leading to death.
Seven-time Grammy Award winner Prince died Thursday, April 21. He was found dead in an elevator of his Paisley Park estates in Chanhassen, Minnesota. He was only 57 years old.
The 911 caller told the dispatcher, “The person is dead here… It’s Prince.”
Six days earlier, he was flying back home from his final performance in Atlanta, Georgia, and his plane needed to make a sudden emergency landing. It was pronounced that he had a drug overdose, and he was rushed to a brief hospital visit in Illinois.
He claimed it was just an illness at that time and went home later that day.
Prince’s remains were cremated, and the autopsy report to determine his cause of death isn’t expected for another few weeks.
