NHS Annual Dodgeball Tournament
ACHS’s National Honors Society raise money while having fun.
Antioch High School held National Honors Society’s annual dodgeball tournament on Monday, September 21. Not only is this event a great way to kick off homecoming week, but also an even better way to support NHS.
With nine teams ready to dive, dig and dodge, unfortunately only one can win.
Students Max Tubbs, Dylan Rathbun, Connor Kaiser, Alex Unekis and Thomas Boeh emerged as the winning team, the Warriors. NHS also gave the best dressed award to the students Charles Wagner, Ryan Simonsen, Daniel Acevedo, Connor Simonson and Michael Rafalko, competed as the team Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.
Senior Allie Gelander, member of NHS who volunteered at the tournament said, “It is picked as a fundraiser because it gets the whole school involved and it’s a fun way to raise money”.
For years, this dodgeball fundraiser has been a success to NHS, especially this year. With an outstanding turnout and 250 dollars raised in total, the fundraiser is predicted to just become more successful for years to come.
