Nail Salons in Town

It’s that time of the year when every high school girl frantically makes appointments to get her nails done before everything is booked. Thats right, it’s homecoming week! The real question is, where do you go to get your mani-pedi?

In Antioch, the most commonly known nail salons are Nails 4U, Landisa’s Nail and Salon, Queen Nails II and Proffessionails.

“I love going to Proffessionails because out of all the places I’ve gone to, they’re the friendliest,” junior Abby Zenoni said. “My nails turn out perfect every time.”

Some salons may be better economically, but senior Kenzie Scott said quality can falter.

“I don’t like going to Landisa’s,” Scott said. “I like their prices and student discounts, but the job done isn’t as sturdy or reliable as going somewhere like Proffessionails. I would rather overpay for high quality nails than pay normal for nails that break off in a week.”

Other students value the style of nails over the business that does them.

“I always get acrylics, and I love really long nails with a simple color,” senior Jaylene Sparks said. “I usually get my nails pointed with a stiletto or coffin shape.”
