MTV gets “Awkward”

The students of Antioch Community High School are going crazy for the show “Awkward” on MTV. Twitter feeds are full of “Awkward” commentary every time a new episode airs on TV. “Awkward” depicts what the typical high school is like. Parties, relationships and friendships are all part of the show displaying what high school students do in their daily life to fit in.

Character Jenna Hamilton starts off high school as “the girl who tried killing herself” after an accident before the school year started. The show is called “Awkward” because of the fact that she starts her high school career as the “awkward girl.” Awkward shows the transformation of an ungraceful teenager and her friends as they progress through their high school career.

What is great about the show is that Jenna is an ordinary girl and isn’t popular like most girls in television shows. Creator  Lauren Iungerich made a good choice when she decided to construct a show that can relate to an actual teenager. Being connected with the viewer is what makes a show get good reviews, which “awkward” does well.

“Awkward” is currently on its third season and continues to get great rating from real life high school students. The current rating for Awkward is a 7.6 out of 10 according to imdb.com. To catch up on any “Awkward” news you can follow @MTVAwkward on Twitter to get fast updates on the show.
