People were not wrong when they said 2016 was going to be the year where anything is possible, because Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are 100 percent back on, engaged and living together. Hemsworth popped the question to Cyrus in 2012, but called off the engagement later that year. The two love birds were spending time together after Cyrus’ split with Patrick Schwarzenegger the April prior.

“I’m so happy Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are back together,” senior Kiki Wennstrom said. “They used to be my favorite couple back in 2012. Plus, I feel like Liam will steer Miley down a good path and will be a good influence for her.”

Cyrus is also getting close with Hemsworth’s family again. On New Year’s Eve, Hemsworth’s brother’s wife, Elsa Pataky, posted a picture of her and Cyrus on Instagram captioning it, “Bestfriends.” That was not the only thing that was being posted on Instagram. Cyrus posted a picture on January 18 flaunting her Neil Lane-designed sparkly engagement ring from Hemsworth.

“I feel like this is a good way for Miley Cyrus to get a fresh start in the new year,” senior Jatiyah Childs said. “I also feel like the feelings between Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus were never gone to begin with. I hope they are able to work things out.”

Cyrus and Hemsworth have proved that true love does prevail, even after multiple years apart.
