Instagram is full of extremely creative makeup artists that create unique looks. The geode and crystal inspired lip art trend is a creative and beautiful twist on traditional lipstick. New York based makeup artist Johannah Adams started a huge geode and crystal lip art trend on Instagram when she posted a look she created based of off a piece of jewelry.

“I’m SO pleased with the immense positive feedback I’ve received for my work,” Adams said.

Her Instagram page that now has a large following of subscribers. According to Buzzfeed, Johanna uses a combination of a heavy glitter, a color base, and a thick clear gloss to create a geode-inspired masterpiece. Although not exactly something most would wear out, it is absolutely gorgeous and not as hard as it looks to recreate. The Huffington Post states that other Instagram makeup artists are jumping on the geode band wagon too, such as Genevieve Jauquet, who is also creating some really amazing crystal lip art looks.
