The Sequoia is asking students to get involved with the making of the 2014 yearbook. Students are asked to think of activities, events, classes, students, teachers or any other aspect of ACHS that has impacted them positively and send in a picture and a short explanation of how that made an impression on them.
The contest is based off of this year’s yearbook theme, Impact. Sarah Ogborn, yearbook adviser, describes the yearbook theme as “the story of how we’ve made our contribution or how somebody else has contributed to who we are today.”
Ultimately, 12 submissions will be chosen and displayed prominently in the yearbook. The deadline for the contest is Tuesday, Jan. 21.
Submissions can be sent via email to the Editor-in-Chief, Taylor Brandon at [email protected]. Photos need to be relatively high quality, although pictures taken by most cell phones will work. The picture needs to be horizontal and rectangular, so photos from social media sites like Instagram will not work. Students can send in more than one submission. For full contest details, check out the Sequoia on Facebook.
Students are encouraged to check the Sequoia’s Facebook and Twitter page for sneak peaks of the yearbook.
