Mackenzie Carley: Fate
We are not born into our lives knowing where our life is supposed to take us; the experiences we go through bring us closer to our fate each day. Our fate is sort of the pathway that we are to walk down and venture to our final destination that will one day display our repurpose in life.
No one knows their exact fate either. You don’t know what your said destiny is until you are face-to-face with the reality of it all; then, you learn where and what you are supposed to be, although it will take time.
Learning who we are as people and which path to take are factors in the role of our fate. The decisions and choices we make due to specific events or circumstances also come into play. Those choices and decisions of free will bring us one step closer to our destination in life every day.
When a child is born into their life, they are given a set fate. Although, the decisions and the lessons that a child learns as they grow older will help them realize their path and help them learn and discover why they are here. Everyone has a fate in their own lives; the lessons we learn are how we slowly uncover the set-in-stone path. We cannot change our destiny, but we can learn from it each time we have a spark of free will.
Ashton Swanson: Free will
No one was predestined to a certain standard in this game of life. Everyone has the power to choose which way they decide their life should go. We wake up every morning and have the ability to choose what to do next, what to think and what to wear, and that all plays into the characteristics of our free will.
Whether it is to a serious extent or simply what we choose to eat for breakfast, you are granted anything; everything is up to you. Free will is a big factor in my life because I have the authority and the power to change my outlook on life. Free will is the ability to make the decisions to do whatever you wish to do in your lifetime, regardless of what others say or believe.
The product of life is every decision and course of action an individual decides to make, determining your end future. No one gets to choose that except for you. In my personal life, my family, in general, has influenced my belief. We worked hard to be where we are now, looking back at where we came from; that is not a predestined thing, in my opinion.
Everyone has their own interpretations of the way we view the world. How you choose to go about certain events all plays into the aspects of free will. We aren’t granted anything except for our conscience and how we choose to display it with our actions.
