Thursday, March 22 marked the home opener for the D117 lacrosse team against the Vernon Hills Cougars. Within the first ten minutes, there was lightning in the sky and the game was postponed for 30 minutes. However, as the storm continued to brew, the officials and coaches realized the storm was not letting up; the game was called off and is set to be rescheduled at a later date.
