Junior Kennedy Moll celebrates the Sequoits win with the teams managers.

Girls Varsity volleyball traveled to North Chicago for a conference game against the Warhawks Thursday, October 13. The Sequoits were not there for very long, as they competed with determination, power, and quickness; all leading to a two set game. The first set the lady Sequoits won 8-25, and the second set 7-25. The Warhawks had great talent level causing the first set to go by slow

“We weren’t able to do much because they weren’t able to return our serves,” junior Kennedy Moll said.

However,  Katherine Barr and Jacklyn Geraty both went on long serving streaks helping the Sequoits dominate. While in the second game things went a little faster for Antioch as they shut down North Chicago in a back to back games. Every player felt great after this win.

“It always feels good to win because we know all our hard work is paying off,” Moll said.

It has been a great season for volleyball and they are planning on making this season longer.

According to Moll the team is looking forward to bringing home the regional title, and moving on to sectionals.
