Since 2003, the title “King of the Road” is given out yearly to a group of professional skateboarders. “It’s a demented, roving adventure that follows various skate teams across the country as they compete to accomplish a list of tasks, some of which carry great risk of bodily harm, and others that don’t involve skateboarding at all (but still might carry great risk of bodily harm),” according to Vice.

This year, the teams are skateboarding companies: Chocolate, Toy Machine, Birdhouse and Thrasher. These businesses teamed up with Viceland to film a TV show for the competition.

The first episode aired for free on Youtube on April 29, and the rest can be viewed as it airs on television (Thursdays at 11pm ET / 10pm CT). Viceland’s Youtube also features segments and clips from the show.

If you are interested in pro skaters going around America throwing their bodies and dignity away for a chance to become King of the Road, this is definitely a must watch.
