Kat Barr was honored to be able to play in the Illinois volleyball all star game.

Senior and varsity volleyball player Kat Barr was asked to participate in the Illinois high school girl’s volleyball all star game that took place on Sunday, December 3 at the College of Dupage. The showcase started at one o’clock as Barr was recognized along with the rest of the all stars that were asked to play. The actual game began at three o’clock and Barr was excited and ready to play with the new team.

“The girls I had the chance to play with were amazing,” Barr said.

Before the game started, the players were split into two teams; Barr ending up on the white team. Both teams fought hard but in the end, the white team lost 3-1 sets, ultimately losing the game. Personally, Barr played in two of the sets, helping the team by getting five blocks and four kills, however, it wasn’t enough to completely win the game for the team.

“It was a great experience,” Barr said. “It gave me a taste of what college is going to be like. I had a lot of fun and I’m super grateful that I got picked to play in this game.”
