Kanye West’s new single “Real Friends” was released on January 8th. “Real Friends” is a completely different song compared to his last single “Facts” that was released on December 31st. In Kanye West’s newest single he decided to create more of a serious and calmer side. In the song he talks about trust issues and reflects on how he could be a better friend and family man. Kanye used a very dreamy, beautiful, and calming beat to go along with the lyrics that dig very deeply into his flaws.

“I thought that “Real Friends” was good because it’s kind of the old Kanye that I love so much, like: “College Dropout” or “Late Registration” Kanye,” Senior Robert Bednarz said. “But I still think he could have came harder. It is a lot better than some of his recent stuff like his last album “Yezuz“.”

“Real Friends” is very unique compared to the previous songs he has written in the past. Kanye’s latest single shows off more of his sensitive side which is uncommon because he usually goes hard in all of his songs.

Bednarz said, “I think it was pretty unique because recently he has been making some weird songs, but it is still very creative and musically genius like most of his songs and overall body of work.”

While “Real Friends” is unlike most of his work, it is still thriving in the music industry.
