In sports there is specific uniform for every sport. In wrestling the uniform is one piece of cloth similar to a one piece swim suit with the appearance of spandex; called a singlet. The reason for wearing the singlet is so it doesn’t get in the way when they are wrestling because there is no extra material and is not baggy.

“I do like the uniform we wear, and it helps being skin tight because it doesn’t get in the way of how we perform,” junior Rolando Vazquez said.

The way wrestlers dress at school is pretty basic and like a normal student, they mostly wear hoodies and sweatpants to school to be comfortable. The thing that is different, is some wrestlers tuck the bottom of their pants into their socks, and the reason for that is to keep their body heat up while they are trying to lose weight.

That trend of tucking in the pant leg bottoms into the socks has also shifted towards basketball. In a trendy video for basketball kids, “Uncle Drew” wore his pants the same exact way in that commercial. Although basketball kids do that just for the look, and not for losing weight like in wrestling.
