How To: Make Your Own Laundry Detergent
Making one of the most used household essentials at home is easy with this simple recipe.
One of the fundamentals of having good hygiene is having clean clothes. However, laundry detergent is one of the most expensive and most used items in a household.
“Laundry detergent is an essential part of your life,” sophomore Samuel Schultz said.
With this simple recipe, you can make all the detergent you need at home!
Ingredients:
1 cup Washing Soda (not baking soda)
1 cup Borax
½ – 1 cup grated bar soap (any brand, Ivory, Fels-Naptha, Dr. Bronner’s)
Directions:
After grating the soap, mix ingredients together. Use approximately ¼ cup per load of laundry.
