Spooky Halloween inspired cake pops are a perfect fall treat.
Recipe from Betty Crocker:
Ingredients:
1 box of Halloween Funfetti cake mix
3 eggs
1 cup of water
½ cup of oil
1 container of green frosting
2 bags of orange candy melts
Sprinkles of choice
1 package of paper lollipop sticks
1 block of plastic foam
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease your 13-inch by 9-inch pan.
Beat cake mix, eggs, water and oil together until it reaches a pudding-like consistency.
Put the mixture into a pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Once the cake is cooled off, place it in a large bowl and add one container of green frosting.
Shape 2-tablespoon size cake balls and place them in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes.
In a separate microwavable bowl, add one cup of orange candy melts and heat as directed on the bag.
Remove the cake balls from the freezer. Take the lollipop sticks and dip the tip of them into the orange candy melts and insert it halfway into a cake ball.
Poke the opposite end into your foam block and place it back into the freezer for 10 minutes.
When the cake balls are frozen, dip them into the remaining melted candy melts, then quickly add sprinkles or other decorations onto the cake balls.
Place them in the fridge to harden.
