When attending special events, everyone wants to look nice, which especially includes makeup. Makeup can be tricky, so luckily there are places that offer to do people’s makeup who want it done. Here are some places that offer makeup for special events and some tips on what to do when going.
Macy’s and Bare Minerals are some of the few places that offer to do makeup for anyone who wants to get it done. When going to a makeup counter, it is usually free to have done, but they will try to persuade customers to buy certain brands. Sephora provides facial makeovers as well, and does not charge for the makeover, but one has to make a $50 minimum purchase. Appointments are not needed when doing this, but it doesn’t hurt to have one just in case. Ulta offers to do hair and makeup for a total of $120, and an appointment is needed for places that do charge.
When having makeup done for the first time by someone, be sure to bring pictures of the specific look that is wanted. The more details provided on the look, the better for the customer and the sales associate to achieve the style.
“I went to get my makeup done last year for homecoming, and I was very nervous about it,” junior Mia Fogel said. “I was worried they would overdo it, but I liked how it turned out in the end.”
Asking friends or a family member is also a good idea when wanting to get hair and makeup done, as it can help save money and time.
