Summerfest is an annual music festival held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the 75-acre (30-hectare) Henry Maier Festival Park. This festival lasts for up to 11 days, with over 700 hundred types of bands performing on 11 different stages. According to the Guinness World Records since 1999, Summerfest is the World’s biggest musical festival because it attracts up to 800,000 to 1,000,000 people each year.
Senior Kayla Vazquez said, “Last year was my first time going to Summerfest and I had such a great time because the weather was so nice out and I loved the performer I saw. I saw Florida Georgia Line. It was really fun because I knew all the songs, they interacted with the crowd, and I saw a bunch of my friends. My favorite part was when they let off fireworks. It was really cool and just an overall awesome concert experience.”
As for this year’s Summerfest, the headliners will be: Selena Gomez, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton and Alabama Shakes, Tim McGraw, Def Leppard, Luke Bryan, Paul McCartney, Weezer and Panic at the Disco, Sting and Peter Gabriel. Vazquez said, “I am really excited for all of the country performers because I really love country music. I also love to watch the small bands on the side too.”
Summerfest is a very fun concert experience with an overall good atmosphere. Every year there is a large variety of bands and artists that preform.
