Happy Holidays From the Fine Arts Department
The fine arts department celebrates their love for the holidays by recently releasing their very first Christmas album.
With the bright colorful lights seen hanging on houses and in stores and the sight of people wearing festive Christmas sweaters, it can be assumed that the holidays have finally arrived. With Christmas just around the corner, one of the best ways to get into the holiday spirit is by listening to the many varieties of Christmas music. The fine arts department, in particular, is celebrating their love for music and the holiday season by announcing and selling their very first Christmas album.
The album includes many holiday favorites sung and played by the fine arts staff, including the song, “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” sung by Antioch Community High School principals. The album itself took much preparation and work and the proceeds of the album are going towards the Antioch Music Department.
“I think it turned out really well because I feel that since we started late September, the album didn’t end up being over processed,” band teacher Jonathan Untch said. “It has a more natural touch.”
“If we had more time it could have been better, but I still think it turned out great,” choir teacher Michael Hickey said.
The fine arts department was able to show their musical talent and get the album out right in time for the holidays.
