Cenie Frieson makes a great pass during the varsity game.

After winning their last conference game against Grant, the Sequoits made their way down to Larkin High School on Monday, September 18. After winning the first set 25-12, the girls were confident going into the second set. Shortly after the first set, the Sequoits had secured the win by coming out strong and winning the second set 25-15.

The varsity volleyball team was content with their performance against the Royals, however, they are looking to improve their skills in order to do well against the stronger teams.

“I don’t think we played to our full potential or as well as we could have, but I still think we held it together well and executed plays nicely,” sophomore Cenie Frieson said. “For future games, we definitely need to improve on being loud and talking to each other while we’re on the court.”

Watch the volleyball team in action at their next game on Saturday, September 23 at Harvard High School.
