The girls track and field team went on the road for their third outdoor meet. They went up against Grayslake Central and Wauconda. Junior thrower Tiana Fox followed her previous first place win with second place in shot-put this meet. Fox was glad to put some works in for herself and the team.
“I came in second but I gave it my all and I was satisfied with the results,” Fox said.
Fox set a new personal record of 32 feet and two-and-a-half inches. Another bright spot on the team was junior Briana Galan. She lead teammates senior Noor Abdellatif, junior Ayanna Tommy and sophomore Gloria Lobodzinski to a first place finish.
“We ran a good time and we’re all happy with the way we pushed each other,” Galan said.
Everyone pushed each other and in the end they came up with a good meet and won’t look back. They will all continue to better themselves and to strive for greatness in the near future.
