Girls Soccer Falls To St. Viator In Regional Game
The girls soccer team finishes their season after loss in regional game against St. Viator.
The girls soccer team ended their season with a record of 10-7-5 after losing their regional semi-final game against St. Viator 2-0 on Tuesday, May 17.
“The game went really well last night, we played our hearts out and even though we came out with a loss, we played as hard as we could,” sophomore varsity soccer player Karly Monaco said.
The team put in strong effort during the game as they pushed up the field, forced the other team to make mistakes and played solid defense. Although they implemented these tactics, they did not pull off a victory against the opposing team.
Despite the loss, the players had a great season and are looking forward to seeing how next year will pan out. The team is losing three seniors: Kayla Vazquez, Lauren Slack and Courtney Coleman, however the girls are looking forward to another successful season full of improvements, and are curious to see who will be added to the team next spring.
“It’s the best season I’ve ever had,” said Monaco. “We had a great team this year with strong chemistry.”
