Girls Cross Country Gives Their All

Cross Country places tenth out of twenty three, leaving much room for improvement.

The Sequoits girls Cross Country team struggled at Warren at the Blue Devil Invite. On the brisk Saturday morning of September 17, girls cross country finishes tenth out of twenty three teams in the conference. There is much room for improvement for the girls, for they have only had one conference meet and have plenty more; including on September 20, the girls have their make-up meet from when it got rained out on September 15.

Girls cross country runner, senior Tessa Furlong was not pleased with the results on Saturday’s meet, “I wish we would have performed better overall as a team. We have a lot of potential, I know we will start living up to our expectations and improve as a team,” Furlong said.

The team has continued to improve throughout their season and with this being their second invite of the season, the girls have a lot of room for improvement.
